“I cannot recommend Vanessa highly enough. I came to her during a time when my sleep was deeply disrupted, and I was feeling exhausted and out of balance. From the very first session, Vanessa created a space that felt both safe and deeply nurturing. She took the time to truly listen—not just to my symptoms, but to me as a whole person.” -Laura T.

Vanessa Mock, MAOM, L.Ac., is a Nationally Board-Certified Diplomate and Herbalist with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine and graduated from the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine located in Houston, Texas. Before relocating to Salt Lake City and joining the Flow Acupuncture team, Vanessa owned and operated Heights Acupuncture & Wellness Clinic in Houston, Texas.
Vanessa is a general practitioner, but excels in chronic and acute pain conditions such as low and upper back pain, body pain, migraines, and more. She has completed extensive training with Dr. Jeremy Steiner in Electro-Acupuncture Medicine (EAM), which aids in a variety of maladies, and is the only EAM practitioner in Salt Lake City. She has also studied with Dr. Anthony Lombardi, who specializes in combining electro-acupuncture and trigger-point therapy. Additionally, she has trained with Dr. Andy Rosenfard, learning MicroAcupuncture48, a specialized form of acupuncture treating various eye disorders. Vanessa continuously applies her personal experience and training to help others with gastrointestinal, auditory, and emotional regulation challenges.
Before practicing acupuncture, Vanessa worked in the health industry for over 15 years as an NSCA-certified personal trainer and fitness instructor. She has been teaching Hatha yoga since 2007, and has been fortunate to study under master teacher Yoganand Michael Carroll. Vanessa regularly practices Qi Gong under the guidance of Lee Holden.
Vanessa has personally experienced, witnessed, and helped others heal with Chinese Medicine. She is grateful to be working at Flow Acupuncture, aiding in the healing of others and focusing on treating the root cause rather than the branch.
In her free time, you can find her enjoying beautiful Utah, either hiking, skiing, traveling, or dancing to jam bands.
