Flow Acupuncture are designed to maintain your body's healthy balance while it navigates the many exciting changes of pregnancy.
Most women have vastly different experiences during pregnancy, and Mallory will tailor your treatments to meet your specific health needs.
The health and well-being of your entire body is important when nourishing and nurturing a healthy fetus.
In Chinese Medicine, regular nourishment of the 'Zi Gong' or 'baby palace' - AKA: your womb - with a robust qi and blood supply will help to ensure a healthy, resilient baby. Specific dietary, herbal, and acupuncture recommendations will be given to nourish and support your healthy 'baby palace.'
Acupuncture during pregnancy can begin as early as pregnancy occurs, and we recommend weekly treatments during the first trimester to support healthy growth and development.
Acupuncture during the second and third trimester is recommended at least 1-2 times per month until week 36 of pregnancy. At that time, we recommend weekly treatments to maintain comfort and prepare the body for a healthy labor and delivery.
BREECH BABY TREATMENT
Chinese Medicine has had a secret weapon to help assist with pregnancy and childbirth, used for thousands of years: MOXIBUSTION!
This safe and effective form of heat therapy at precise acupuncture points encourages gentle movement of the fetus to naturally reposition them in the ideal 'head-down' position for childbirth.
Many local OBGYNs and midwives refer to us for this service with impressive results!
This treatment may be started as early as week 34 or 35 of pregnancy and may require 3-5 treatments for full repositioning of the baby.
Mallory will answer any questions you have about the process which is generally viewed as a gentle, safe, and effective way to correct breech presentation.
